A Vital Ministry
Do you believe prayer is "the Christian's vital breath"? Or that, without prayer, we will not see God's blessing? It is easy to talk about prayer, but there must come a time when we stop talking about it and actually pray.
Every Monday (except bank holidays) we meet at 8pm until 9.30 to pray about what is going on in church life. Usually in someone's home (contact us for details) we spend time reflecting on the Bible, thinking about how it applies to us and asking God to bless the work of the church. Each meeting is quite different from the last - we do not have a set agenda, as we try to remain open to the leading of the Spirit in what we pray for, although we do try to cover as much of the church's life as we can each month.
There are usually about a dozen of us who meet each week, but there is always room for more! We are aware that most people do not find prayer easy - that is because it is a spiritual battle - but we have nevertheless found great blessing in coming together to pray and would urge you to join us. God has met with us and helped us, guiding us in prayer in ways we had not forseen. We believe we have seen answers to prayer for the fellowship, as well as finding our faith strengthened.
